"The Point of Collapse," the first single from "The Ghost of the Muse," is now available as a video here on YouTube! This is the very first Reanimation video and was a do-it-yourself effort incorporating an old Sony mini DV Handycam, a couple of flood lamps, and a bit of creativity. Check it out! November 17, 2017 It's official! "The Ghost of the Muse" vinyl pressing is complete, shipped and ready for ordering – just in time for the holidays! Order info should be available on Monday (11/20/17) through Bandcamp. A CD-R format will also be made available. October 22, 2017 Test presses were received from Gotta Groove this past Friday and have been scrutinized and approved as of today! Next step is a press date of approximately 11/11, with estimated shipping before the holidays. September 11, 2017 The audio reference lacquer has been approved. Next step is the actual test pressing on vinyl. That should take about 3-4 weeks. More patience! September 7, 2017 The lacquer has arrived! Officially adorned in black marker with "Do Not Bend!," the packaging just screams IMPORTANT STUFF INSIDE! So this lacquer thing is pretty unique. It looks like a record, with all the grooves and shiny black surface. But it's not vinyl. And only one side of the disc is pressed. There is a separate lacquer for side A and B. The album is now a step closer. Time to kick back and preview. If it gets a thumbs up, then it's on to the actual test pressing stage. August 11, 2017 With mastered audio files approved and all album artwork complete, today is the day that everything was submitted to the vinyl pressing plant. I'm going through Gotta Groove Records. GGR has handled many of the vinyl pressings for artists on the Bloodshot Records label, which sound excellent. Solid pricing and great customer service. August 2, 2017 What do you do when you need a photo of yourself for the interior of the album but don't have a professional photographer connection? How about a Sony Cyber-shot with a 10-second timer, a tripod, extra lamps, painter drop cloths for a backdrop, and a laundry room? Yep, instant photo studio. The only thing missing was mood music and someone to shout out encouraging instructions! Okay...yeah, it was pretty awkward. July 26, 2017 Final audio files for the new album, "The Ghost of the Muse," have been delivered to Melograf Mastering (UK), officially getting the ball rolling. The work done will produce separate results suited for both vinyl output as well as digital. Now I turn my attention back to the album design. Can't rest just yet! March 19, 2015 Many thanks to Steve Mecca and Chain D.L.K. for the very kind words about UNDER THE LAST TREE ON EARTH, described as "...a remarkable and diverse album that defies categorization." I'd call that a pretty strong statement. Steve goes on to categorize the music as "Experimental, post-rock, psychedelic, ambient, progressive, space-rock, art rock, trip hop and even a touch of goth, it's all here on 'UTLTOE' in one form or another, often mixed together so there is no way this can be pigeon-holed."
